“Action achieves strength; moderation eventuates in charm.” (48:7.11)
Dear friends,
The verse above, from the Urantia Book, what the Early Christian Church Restored often calls the Book of Truth, was sent from the daily email from truthbook.com. I highly recommend subscribing to their daily verse emails. As I read it over a few times, I started thinking about the power of balance and how it can transform not only our strength but also our interactions with each other.
Taking action and accomplishing things is a wonderful way to build strength and resilience. It shows that we are determined, driven, and capable of overcoming obstacles. The challenges we face and conquer pave the way for personal growth and a sense of achievement. Every step forward is a testament to our inner strength and the incredible potential that resides within us. However, while strength is important, it is equally vital to approach life’s endeavors in a balanced manner. It is through this balance that we can cultivate qualities that make us not only strong but also friendly and amiable. When we embrace this equilibrium, we bring out the best in ourselves and radiate a warmth that draws others toward us.
In the pursuit of our goals, we need to remember to consider the needs and perspectives of those around us. Let’s try to remember to extend a helping hand, lend an empathetic ear, and offer support whenever possible. By doing so, we create an environment of collaboration and camaraderie, which fosters meaningful connections and enriches our lives.
Let’s try to strive for a balance between determination and understanding, ambition and compassion. We can try to seek opportunities to uplift others and celebrate their achievements alongside those of our own. Embrace humility and gratitude, acknowledging that our strength is not solely derived from our individual accomplishments but also from the support and encouragement we receive from others.
Remember that being strong and achieving great things is admirable, but it is the way in which we carry ourselves and treat others that truly sets us apart. Let our strength be the foundation upon which we build a reputation for kindness, empathy, and approachability. A harmonious balance between personal achievement and fostering harmonious relationships will not only make us a better person but also enhance the lives of those around us.
“Those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31; UB 97:7.8)
With God’s grace, we should believe in ourselves and trust in our abilities to get through all of life’s ups and downs with resilience.
May the Universal Father bless you,
Lucas
