Loving One Another

“The Father and I will both work with you, and you shall experience the divine fullness of joy if you will only obey my command to love one another, even as I have loved you.” (180:1.4)

Love was the central teaching of Jesus’ ministry. By loving one another as He loved people, His disciples can experience the fullness of divine joy. This joy is not a fleeting emotion, but a deep sense of fulfillment and contentment that comes from living in alignment with God’s will.

Jesus’ command to love one another is not a superficial or sentimental idea, but rather a practical and transformative way of living. As can be seen throughout the Book of Truth (Urantia Book) He lived this teaching Himself, showing love and compassion to people from all walks of life, including those who were marginalized or considered outcasts by society. His message of love transcends social and cultural boundaries, and it continues to inspire people of many different backgrounds to this day.

By obeying Jesus’ commandment to love one another, His disciples are also fulfilling God’s will. Both the Father and Jesus will work with us if follow this commandment, which means that we will receive divine guidance and support on our journey towards spiritual growth and transformation.
